What is ChironMed?
ChironMed is a hospital information management system (HIMS) that runs clinical, diagnostic, pharmacy and administrative work on one platform, so a patient's details are entered once and used everywhere.
Who makes ChironMed?
ChironMed is a product of Baryons Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, and has been in the market for more than 15 years.
Which variant is right for my facility?
Clinic for OPD practices, Pharmacy for chemists and hospital pharmacies, Lab for diagnostic labs, Radiology for imaging centres, and Enterprise for small hospitals, nursing homes and medical colleges. The Products page has a quick chooser.
How many facilities use ChironMed?
ChironMed is deployed in more than 200 healthcare facilities across 15+ geographies.
Hosting and access
Is ChironMed cloud-based?
Yes. ChironMed is a SaaS (software as a service) platform hosted in the cloud. You subscribe per facility and use it online, with nothing to install on your own servers.
Do we need to buy a server or install software?
No. Your team signs in through a web browser. You only need computers or devices with a reliable internet connection.
Can we use it on a tablet or phone?
Yes. ChironMed works in any modern web browser on computers, tablets and phones.
Does ChironMed work without internet?
No. ChironMed is an online system, so each location needs a working internet connection. We recommend a backup connection for busy front desks and pharmacy counters.
Pricing and billing
How is ChironMed priced?
Clinic, Pharmacy, Lab and Radiology are an annual subscription per facility, based on how many bills you raise a day (up to 50, 100, 200 or 500, with a custom quote above 500), plus a one-time setup charge. Enterprise is custom-quoted after a scoping call. See the pricing page.
Is there a setup charge?
Yes, a one-time setup and onboarding charge: ₹9,600 for Clinic and ₹19,200 for Pharmacy, Lab and Radiology. Enterprise setup is included in your proposal.
What counts as a bill?
Every invoice generated in ChironMed counts as one bill, whether for a consultation, a pharmacy sale, a lab test or a scan. [Confirm whether cancelled or zero-value bills count.]
Do prices include taxes?
No. All prices are in Indian Rupees and exclude taxes. GST is added as applicable and shown on your invoice.
How are add-on modules priced?
Add-on prices depend on your setup, so they are included in your quote. See which add-ons are available for each variant on the Products page.
Why doesn't Enterprise have a price list?
Hospitals differ widely in departments, beds, branches and integrations, so we scope your needs first and then send a tailored proposal.
Setup and support
How long does it take to go live?
It depends on the variant and how many departments you bring on. Enterprise rollouts are planned in phases with your team. [Add typical go-live times per variant.]
Can you move our existing data into ChironMed?

Data, security and compliance
Is our data safe?
ChironMed is ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified for information security, and Baryons is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management. Our team can walk your IT lead through security detail during the demo.
Does ChironMed help with NABH or NABL?
ChironMed is NABH-enabled for hospitals and NABL-enabled for labs. It supports the records and evidence you need; accreditation itself is still earned by your facility.
